Wormhole Ship Survey

For the next EON Magazine test flight article, I am soliciting ship setups for life in wormholes:
We here at E-ON mag are surveying wormhole dwellers on their favourite ships and fittings for life in a wormhole system. The idea is to show the setups to people not familiar with the rigors of existence separated from easy stations and markets (and local!). Feel free to fill out the survey multiple times for different ships.
See the Eve Online forum thread for the details and the survey questions. If you are a serious wormhole dweller, I'd love to hear about your favourite ship setups for PvP, PvE, hauling, mining, salvaging, etc.

I'd like to learn about a nice Cynabal wormhole fit please.

  2. This is what I used when Letrange and I were living in our little C2 hole:

    425mm AutoCannon II, Barrage M
    425mm AutoCannon II, Barrage M
    425mm AutoCannon II, Barrage M
Core Probe Launcher I, Core Scanner Probe I

    Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II
    Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I

    Warrior II x2
    Hammerhead II x3

It was cheaper than the Loki I had just before (and lost within 2 weeks of using it) but it laughed at the C2 sites and anomalies, C1's were a complete joke, and C3's possible with buddies. C4 and higher need T3 and logistics.

  3. When I had that nice little C2, I used a Drake and Cyclone combo. Both passively tanked OFC. Now that they now NOS you correctly a good passive tank is even more important.

As for your salvage ship, I personally recommend the classic destroyer hull over a noctis for WH work. Although a noctis would pay for itself in no time, a destroyer is by comparison much cheaper and expendable.

However some people swear by the noctis, its more of a personal choice, and sometimes availability is an issue (do I haul in more POS fuel, or a new ship?).

  4. @Anxiir: yeah true. My setup was months before the sleeper neut buff.

  5. Kirith I was actually working on some WH style articles for EVE tribune... not to mention I have a shitton of fittings. I could do something for e-on as well...

  6. What are these wormholes you speak of?

  7. It would be cool if someone got a "celebrity fit" from Jayne or Jade. I know one of the two has moved to 0.0, but the other is still in WH space.

  8. I personally enjoy flying my 7 neut anticapital bhaalgorn. Does a nice number on logi chains as well. As for standard wh fits i'd check losses on aharm and other major wh corps/alliances.

@ anxiir: noctis is a hell of a lot more useful than a destroyer and a single site will usually cover the extra cost. you'll find you'll be donig a hell of a lot less flying around with a noctis so you can stay aligned longer. even at lvl3 you get 56km tractors. though i can see the benefits of destroyers if your dealing with lower mass whs.

@ Kirith: the ship fittings arent really much different from normal space dwellers we just keep an uncanny number of t3s on hand as you cant swap t3 subs in wh space. Though you will tend to see a larger number of expensive mods on ships.

@ rocwieler: a good cynabal fit for wh would be your standard normal space cynabal fit with a probe launcher over the neut i'd say if your solo, otherwise just run the neut and depend on your buddy for probing you out :)
