Mid Vacation Update

I'll let the Carebear Brigade tell you about the trip to the zoo:

"Sooooo tired......"

On the other hand, we'll let them rest.

I've had some free time to fool around in Eve. No solid blocks but bits and pieces here and there while at home farting around.

With Derranna I tried some high sec scanning one night and found a Ladar site with a couple gas clouds. I experimented with gas cloud mining and trained up a couple levels in battlecruiser so I could make an official kick ass gas cloud miner out of a Hurricane.

Kirith has purchased and outfitted a couple interceptors and I did manage to run a mission in the Nightmare one evening. As expected, it rocked.

I also got out my mining character I have and did some ice mining with Derranna using the Orca as hauler and mining booster. Seems like a nice quiet activity that might go well with a POS for R&D some day.

On the R&D front I invented 9 Manticore BPCs out of 16 tries (very nice) and should be building them next week.

On the trade front, increased competition has driven down the profit returns as expected but I'm still making nice coin when I get a chance to log on and adjust market orders.

For Skills, Kirith is almost done Advanced Weapon Upgrades V (finally!) and Derranna is training Logistics II as I type this.

Another week to go!

Looks like the Carebear brigade is dry as well as tired. 3 cheers for dry! It's been wet all week here and been pouring rain almost all day today.

Please bring some dry weather back with you.

Congrats on the seemingly smooth vacation!

Also, props on the inventions. I myself have gotten into a bit of invention with an alt. My first Kronos just came out of the burner. :) However, I fing that T2 cruisers are turning the best profits. Best of luck with invention. O yeah, to keep costs down I use decryptors that raise ME to -1 with cruiser sized ships. I find that the resources saved drops the cost of building the ship to the point where the 4 million isk decryptor is saving me over 5-10 mil in parts. My 4 million isk decryptor saved well over 80 million isk on building that Kronos. Experiment and let me know how it goes!

On a more personal note, I just received EON #16. I purchased it mostly to support the canadians featured in the mag. Also, by having some canadians in there, my fiancée is thinking more and more that Eve is a "mature" geeky game unlike the teeny-bopper mmorpgs of late.

She seems to support my enjoyment for the game (and has even played the Eve card game against me, often beating me with her Amarr deck) and feels it's ok for me to have such a geeky past-time partly because of people like you that give Eve a friendly mature perspective.

Keep up the good work! And thanks a lot <-(sarcasm)... Now she wants twins of her own... What have you gotten me into!
    :)
