Second Battle of Nycron City - Southern Wall

 I was invited to fill in a spot on a campaign in the local Adeptus Titanicus group and Legion Fulmineus answered the call. 

It was this amazing 6'x8' board with full on city wall.

Tons of gorgeous titans.

The Sky Gods on defense.

The board was split down the middle, and on one flank I was defending the city against two Loyalist legios, while my ally defended the other flank against two more legios. The wall had bastions that could shoot and be destroyed to even the odds. The goal for the attackers was to destroy wall and buildings in the city, while the defenders tried to prevent that.

I deployed with Raum and Nian defending the gate while Ahklut and Kludde and allied knights from House Victrix would be reserves to counter attack at any breaches.

There was a lot going on, I did not get many pictures from the other flank.

The Loyalists advanced. There was a lot of them and lots of shooting in the first round while combat elements moved in for the assault.

Raum and Nian and bastions hammered the forward elements, looking for quick kills on the warhounds. 

There was a lot of warhounds though.

The gate was breached as Raum came under heavy fire.

A warhound was laid low but the reavers closed the distance.

A squadron of warhounds looked to breach the wall itself.

As the smoke cleared, Ceratus Knights and Ahklut moved into position to throw the enemy back.

Raum stands tall as the bombardment from the warbringer continued.

Assault reavers closing the distance start to come under heavy fire.

The assault force closes in!

The warhound squadron opens fire on the far bastion.

An assaulting loyalist reaver charges into Raum and he staggers back! 

As Nian and Ahklut pour fire into the enemy, the Ceratus knights' use their lascutters and graviton beams to smash the reaver back and it tumbles to the ground!

Nian was exposed and took a barrage of fire that caused her to explode! But the time ran out on the loyalists.

Eastern Flank: Loyalist Legios made significant progress, Legio Astraman Reaver titan breached the walls but was slain, Astraman Warhound slain on approach. Legio Atarus undamaged. Legio Fulmineus Reaver - Nian slain in defense. Wall integrity 25%, Cathedral Destroyed, Command Bunker Complex intact. 6 Loyalist engines within close proximity to the breach.

Western Flank: Loyalist advance stalled. Tempestus with heavy use of quake shells significantly impeded progress. Legio Solaria lost a Warhound and Reaver - Victrix Solarium on approach, Legio Ignatum lost 2 Warhounds. Legio Tempestus undamaged. Wall integrity 75%, all hab units destroyed Ignatum Direwolf - Mercyful Fate prioritized civilian targets. 2 Loyalist Engines within close proximity of the Wall. 

Loyalist VP = 14, Traitor VP = 26

Loyalist withdrawal announced when Legio Damicium engines appeared on the long range auspex. Enough progress was not made to carry on the assault.
