The Defence of Limbas Secondus

 The True Mechanicum believers of Pyros Majora were on the retreat from the dastardly Solar Auxilia of the False Omnissiah. The turned at the output of Limbas Secondus and prepared defences. 

The Dark Tahgmata formation deployed across the middle of the table with the 5 objectives behind them, vowing to hold the line, while the Terror Protocol formation took up position in the rear. Right away the Solar Aux advanced, and flew in two detachments on their Argus light flyers, forcing the Mechanicum units to scramble in response.

A Solar Aux detachment suffered great casualities against the point defense guns of the Krios battle tanks, but the commander ripped through the hull of one of them in return.

The Ursurax assault troops charged in on the rapier support weapons, and the Ogryns charged in support. To prevent them from being overwhelmed, the Arch Magos and his Mrymidon Secutors charged in as well.

The Basilisks, Leman Russes, and Malcadors proved to be poorly manned all battle, missing many shots at the towering Serperos stalkers.

Errax, Scintilax, and Tenebros stalkers rush to defend the objectives from the assault force that landed in the rear!

On the front line, Dracoson promethium fire washed over the Krios tanks and burned their crews alive.

The Knight and Baneblade advance.

The armoured division of the Solar Aux contiued to advance with the surviving hero support weapons the only survivors of the early meele combat.

The Serperos stalkers determined defense of the front south objective stymies the enemy.

The Knights clashed against each other with the larger Acastus Ceratus dealing the first blow while the Argus fliers try to add support.

 

The Errax and Scintilax stalkers rip open walls to dislodge the soldiers inside.

The Overlords take damage but continue to hold the line against the badly aimed armoured cannons.

The Harpax sentinels clear out an enemy detachment and prepare to swing into the flank of the imperial knight.

Tech Thralls and Tech Priests secure the rear while the stalkers prepare to attack the second insertion detachment.

And still the line holds!

The Solar Auxilia make a strong late push to take the south point.

The imperial knight tries to fight off the Mechanicum knight and Harapax assault sentinels.

As the Tenebrax turn their fire forward, the Errax and Scintilax charge into the enemy controlled building.

Despite high casualities, the Dark Mechanicum hold the line (and the objectives) to win the day!
