Theming Redux

Thanks to everyone who commented yesterday. Sorry for the orange assault on the eyes, but I wondered if it would work as a more abstract concept rather than the usual eve scenery approach. Almost everyone agreed that stick to the basics was a better idea.

The Earth I used for the rest of yesterday was stock google image until I could get my own backgrounds uploaded. This is my current favourite but I have three more I'm interested in. Opinions as to which I should use would be welcome.

Finally, I know I need a new header but I'm too low on ISK right now after buying some BPOs to afford a real talented graphic designer like Rixx Javix to make me one, so it will have to do.

I really like this ring one you have on at the moment. Also, just an fyi that my malwarebytes says "successfully blocked potential malicious content" when I open your site *shrugs*

  2. I *believe* that malware warning comes from the site counter cookie that it tries to put in your browser to identify unique visitors. That is the only javascript stuff I have that is not straight from Blogger. If you got more details from teh logs, please pass it on. You're not the first to complain.

The theme looks good mate. The only thing I would possible do is have something behind the navigation mentu at the top. It's a bit hard to see.

  5. No malware issue for me. I like this one much better. Your website doesn't look so much like the default wallpaper for an iPhone. ;)

  6. I just noticed you've got something cloaked in the picture... What is it? ;)

  8. I like the current ring planet theme. Be nice to see the Wyvern in a header though.

This is a nice improvement. I like the ringed planet image with this colour scheme. The Earth image was an OK image on its own, but it clashed with the rest. The ringed planet image supports the other colours much better.

The other images all have a bright sun in them which I find distracting - too strong for a background. The ringed planet image just has some flare from the sun entering the frame, which lets you know the sun is there, without distracting the eye.

All in all a nice upgrade, imo.

  10. Nice! The background image doesn't distract from the words and you got the EON add to fit.
